This was REALLY fun to make!! The Flute Center of New York and I put our heads together to come up with a fun way to show you guys how to set up a trial, along with a more behind-the-scenes look at the rules for setting up a trial (you know how I'm always saying to take off jewelry and stuff...).
Lately, I've also been really into ASMR cooking videos, so I couldn't help but give a little nod of appreciation with my own short hand-washing and teeth-brushing scene. XD I felt like it was a nice break from the walking-around vlog style of the video.
Hope you guys enjoyed this one! I really felt like I was back in my element after having not vlogged in a while. ;)

So apparently when I was teaching rhythm in this way during a lesson, Jon was in his home office under my room. After I was done teaching, he came in my room and starting mimicking my dancing! XD
I'm totally aware the lighting is atrocious in this video, but I couldn't throw away the footage due to how animated I am in it. I really don't think I can recreate that kind of energy, so I opted to post it anyway. Oh well! Perks of living in cloudy Seattle...
So how do you guys feel the beat and the rhythm? I found this to be a very difficult topic to articulate!
See you guys next week!
I get to go back to my superior camera lens here because I'm actually standing far away enough from the camera! It really does perform a lot better, especially in the low light situation I had going on here. I'm not the most happy with the lighting, but it is what it is, and I'm okay with it. It reflects how things looked that day. :)
I am REALLY enjoying my new setup, and I can't wait to share it with you guys. I bought a standing desk converter, and wow, it's really affected my comfort level when working at the computer. I'm only NOW realizing just how bad my posture at the computer was before!! No wonder my health suffered.
I also totally procrastinated this video too, but at least this week, I'm a lot more awake! I think it shows in the video. XD Here's hoping next week's video isn't procrastinated too hard... :P
See you guys next week!
So, yeah, I was actually on vacation during the last three videos (set off on the day "I found out why I sight read better than when I practice" was published and returned on the day "Jupiter Alto 1000X & Bass 1000 | FCNY Sponsored Review" was published). Pro tip: Maybe don't try to make 3 giant videos in a single week. That was ROUGH.
That's why I looked so incredibly tired in last week's video. XD It was shot at 7am on a random weekday morning. I needed to budget enough time to both teach and and edit/upload all my videos before I set off at 4am that Saturday. My health took a little dip too, so I definitely learned my lesson.
Speaking of health, I'm trying out something different and have decided to make it my new normal! I will soon be ordering a standing desk converter and floor mat to enable me to work at the computer while standing! Woohoo!
That's it for now! See ya guys next week!
