Mom was so apprehensive about making this video because she didn't know how much I could teach her, since she doesn't practice. She failed to remember that not all of my students actually practice.
I'm thinking of releasing a "deleted scenes" video on my second channel, JustAnotherVlaugist, much like Part 3 of this series. Some of it was edited but had to be taken out because the video was originally too long, but there are other chatty bits that I think some of you would enjoy.
I've been a bit shy to show my real "teaching side," but I've come to realize that it's such a huge part of me that denying it on my channel is more stressful than hiding it. So while this video may not be as funny as the other parts to this series, I feel like I've shown you guys a bit of what I'm like when I'm actually teaching. I get so much energy from teaching--it's the fuel that drives me and my career. Watching my mom finally learn and understand what she's been hearing me do for years was so fulfilling, and in a really weird way, I felt us bond even more through this lesson.
