ERMERGERD, GUYZ, I'M BACK ON THIS BLOG!
First off, let's get you guys some links that I referred to in this video:
Meet me and Paul at the Seattle Flute Festival! We'll be behind the Fluteworks Seattle booth at 11am-4:30pm!
And check out Fluteworks Seattle!
All right, now back to what I really wanted to say in this blog post!
I've always wondered what to do with this blog, and it took me a long time to realize how simple the solution was... I could just use this blog as a behind-the-scenes for my videos! So without further ado, let's dive in!
I can't believe we've made it to 10,000 subscribers!!! This is awesome, let's keep it going!! Did you dance with me??
I had no music on while I was dancing. So you can imagine how much of an idiot I looked like filming that.
And no, I didn't drink the wine. Though that is one of my favourite wines.
You'll notice that my makeup looks quite different in that blip from the first time I tried shooting this announcement video. It's because I was actually running off to meet my boyfriend for lunch and didn't have time to put on false lashes. I also didn't account for the awesome sunshine that day that ironically made the lighting look horrible for the video. I had my two floor lamps from Lowe's in my face, trying to counteract the light from that window (it has no blinds or drapes), but to no avail.
Speaking of makeup, just so you guys know... I don't look like this in real life. More often than not, I actually don't even wear a spot of makeup. Anyone can look as polished as I look in my videos with 1-2 hours spent on makeup and hair and 2 floor lamps from Lowe's. It's basically photoshopping yourself in real life. So while I appreciate that comment I get every now and then about how "pretty" I look... well, just so you know, you can easily look like this too. ;)
The one mistake I made in this video was shooting this before dinner. I got so hungry!! But I couldn't eat because food might get stuck between my teeth, and I'd probably ruin my makeup halfway through. I really should have known this from performing. NEVER PERFORM ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. I seriously messed up every single line in this video. Editing this was a pain because I had to watch myself mess up every line all over again. When you don't have enough food, you don't have enough energy, and when you don't have enough energy, you can't think straight. And you can imagine what happens when you can't think straight... NOTHING GOES RIGHT.
It was so nice to get that little ding from my boyfriend though. I can't believe he doesn't think I'm completely insane for doing this.
Whelp, that's all for now! Cheers!
