My parents' modem decided to crap itself on Wednesday. Mom will be the first one to tell you that she is not good with technology, but she was all alone in the house with no internet! She wouldn't be able to do any of her own work at all, never mind helping my dad with keeping track of bills and such. :O
So I spent Wednesday walking her through getting a new modem.
What a trooper! I'm still beaming with how proud I am of my mom. We ended up spending almost all day on the phone, texting and calling each other, but it was well worth it. They got their internet back, and all was well!
Of course, the next day ended up having problems with the printer, which probably got confused due to the new network they had to set up, but a hard reset fixed it easily, which I also walked my mom through.
From the beginning, I realized that in the end, I'm gonna remember what I did to help (or not help!) my parents more than the video I made this week. In the end, my family is what will matter to me the most, so I'm just gonna put it out there that I'm actually really glad I got my priorities straight this week. :P I'm not perfect, but I'm damn proud of how I handled things this week.
And of course, I hope you guys still enjoy the quick video I made for this week. ;) There were auditions happening just before my orchestra rehearsal last night, so I was inspired! :D
